Frequently Asked Questions: Q: What vaccinations are required? All dogs must have a current C5 vaccination. All cats must have a current F3 vaccination. If you are unsure, contact your Veterinarian. Your certificate must be produced upon check-in or faxed through to us ahead of your stay. Q: When can I drop off and pick-up? Our hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 8.30 am to 5.45 pm. Saturdays 8.30am to 12.45 pm and Closed Wednesdays. You may check-in and out any time during those periods, however if you check-out before 10.00am you are not charged for that day. Q: My pets condition is better than when we left, what do you feed them? All pets are fed super premium quality foods. We stock a variety of foods due to cater for the fussiest of pets. However no expense is spared and the main fare is Pro Plan Dry because we have found it to be nutritious, palatable and as many of our customers point out improves the condition of the pets. All foods are free from preservatives, additives and colourings. Q: Will my pet be exercised? We offer playtimes to both cats and dogs and Yappy Hour to dogs. Dogs are given toilet time in the morning, and sociable cats are allowed to roam within the cattery, one cat or family at a time. Q: Will my pet miss me? As soon as you are out of sight your pets are distracted by the activity of the pet hotel. Your pets are constantly stimulated by new smells, sounds and sights. Their holiday will be much the same as yours. They will have a great time while their here, but they will love to see you return. Q: I have two cats or dogs can they be housed together? Yes we have sibling suites for families with 2 cats or 2 dogs. However a cat and a dog from the same family cannot be housed together by law. Q: My pet requires medication, is that a problem? Medication is administered and as required. The charge is 0.50c per administration. Q: Will my cat be warm enough? Every cat suite is able to be connected to a heating pad. In addition to this the cattery is kept cozy in winter by a wood heater. Q: I don't want my pets coat to shed all over my good clothes when I drop him off, any suggestions? No problem we can pick-up and deliver your pet with our valet service. Your pet will be chauffeured to his/her holiday in the comfort of our Mercedes Benz. Q: My dog sleeps inside, will he be warm? Yes Elcho Park Pet Hotel has a northerly aspect which provides warm morning sun and shelter from the cold. All rooms are protected from the weather, and if its pampering you are after then the luxury suites are for you. Q: My dog doesn't come when I call him, can he be trained while on holidays? Yes Elcho Park Pet Hotel offers a 3 week training course. If your dog just requires a little refresher class then we can provide day training. Q: Can my pets bring their special blanket and toys? Yes, it is a good idea to bring something small that has a scent reminder for your pets to sleep on, this item will not be returned so please make sure it is not a favorite. Bedding is not necessary as Elcho Park Hotel provides flea free hammock beds. A toy is also welcome however we cannot guarantee its return and we often find that like children they like the new toys better. Q: What method of payments do you take? We take, cash, Eftpos, and Credit cards. We do not accept American Express and Diners Club. Q: When do I need to book in? During times outside of school holidays a week is usually fine, however during school holidays and especially Christmas and Easter you will need to book in a least 3 months in advance. During these times, bookings are not taken without payment of a non-refundable booking fee. Q: What happens if my pet gets sick while I am away? We have a Veterinarian on call 24/7. In an emergency our Veterinarian will be called and your emergency person will be contacted Q: Are you a licensed facility?
